'1918 School-001';

This Site is set up for James as his First Solo Exploration with his New 'Metal-Detector'.

I have Performed the Research and Determined such:

From the 1879 Era Map of Mecosta County, I have Located 59 Houses, 1 School, 0 Churches, 1 Cemetery, and 0 Cardinal Houses.
From the 1918 Era Map of Mecosta County, I have located 4 Houses, 2 Schools, 3 Churches, 1 Cemetery, and 2 Cardinal Houses

This does not leave out the possibility of more buildings/structures being built after 1918, and in no uncertain circumstances leave out the possibility of more buildings/structures being built before 1879 and were destroyed by fire or other means. You will have to go to the County Office to obtain information of any other buildings/structures.

Analysis:
18 Buildings/Structures of a total of 73 Areas are Clear to be Searched, and 6 of which you should seek Permission first, and 1 Should be Investigated if it has been Deemed a 'Historic Site'.

I would start out here;
-'1918 School-001'; 362 feet West of 10th Ave, 238 feet South of 19 Mile Road. Currently Overgrown with Trees. "GREEN LIGHT" - RISK: LOW and Hone Your Abilities before moving on to another site. It is Concealed and will allow Privacy while Exploring. From your House, Go South on 66/30th Ave to 20 Mile Road and take a Left (Go East) to 10th Ave and Turn Right (South) and go to 19 Mile Road. On the South-West Corner is where the School used to stand.
Requests:
Take Pictures and Document as much as you can.
Suggestions:
If you take;
-the Vehicle: Take a 'Bin', a 'Spade', a 'Flat-Nosed Shovel' (if you have one), a Camera, and a Ruler or Scale.
-the Moped: Take a 'Spade', Small Plastic Containers, a Camera, and a Ruler or Scale.
Take a 'Section Sample' (see Standard Practice) of the Soil by Digging a 'Square' that is the Width of the Tool by the Depth of the Tool. Take Pictures with a Ruler or Scale next to the 'Section Sample' for a gauge. (This will later help in establishing a Timeline of Depth)

The Site is NOT a 'Tree Farm'. The Pines that were planted there were done by the State Prior to 1999 and No Houses were there Prior to the Planting of the Pine Trees and NOT Planted by any Private Individual. The Land is still State Property, Meaning 'Public Property' and you are free to Explore without Harassment. It was a School Property prior and up to and Through 1918 and Still Remains in State Property.

If there is/are any "No Trespassing" Signs and/or "Plaques" Stating that it is an "Historic Site" that you should steer clear, or ask Permission first.

I have sent James Added Information to assure him his Responsabilities and that he should not get into trouble exploring the site.

If there is any Doubts to a Site, It should be Researched at the Local Surveyor Office, or at the Town Hall. This may 'Tip the Hat' with what we are doing, but it may be a benefit by getting to know someone in those offices.
